Indian Students Make Human Red Ribbon Ahead of World AIDS Day

▶️Nearly 1,500 students gathered in India’s western Rajkot city on Friday, November 29, to make a human ribbon – the symbol of HIV/AIDS awareness ahead of World AIDS Day.
?AIDS Prevention Club chairman, Arun Dave, said such programs are important especially among teenagers who hesitate to ask the disease, as any talk about sex is still considered a taboo in the country.
According to a U.N. report, a total of 2.1 million people infected from HIV virus are estimated to be living in India, as of 2017. (REUTERS)
