The Pennsylvania Department of Health said a rabid raccoon attacked a person Tuesday in Dauphin County.The attack happened at Wildwood Park in Harrisburg, officials said. The raccoon tested positive Wednesday for rabies. Any person who may have been exposed to the raccoon is encouraged to call the Dauphin County State Health Center at 717-346-1470. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.If it is after hours, people can call 1-877-PA-HEALTH.Anyone with a pet that may have encountered the raccoon is advised to contact a veterinarian.For more information on rabies, check the health department’s rabies fact sheet.
