Four people from a New Orleans retirement community have died from COVID-19, state officials said.The deaths of a 92-year-old and a 98-year-old were confirmed Wednesday. There have now been six COVID-19 deaths in Louisiana. In Louisiana, there are more than 200 coronavirus cases.Lambeth House, a retirement community in New Orleans, has seen several of its residents come down with the new coronavirus. Four people from a New Orleans retirement community have died from COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, state officials said.

The deaths of a 92-year-old and a 98-year-old were confirmed Wednesday. There are not six coronavirus-related deaths in Louisiana.

In Louisiana, there are more than 200 coronavirus cases.

Lambeth House, the retirement community in New Orleans, has seen several of its residents come down with coronavirus. During the most recent update, at least a dozen residents tested positive for COVID-19.

Representatives for the retirement community and assisting living center have not commented on the cases and deaths, except that residents are now barred from leaving the property grounds Uptown.

“Additionally, guests are not permitted to visit residents in their apartments,” officials said.

Additional details were not released about the 98-year-old and 92-year-olds who died.
