ROB: TONIGHT, THE DEATH TOLL RISES IN NEBRASKA AS A GAGE COUNTY WOMAN DIES FROM THE CORONAVIRUS. I’M ROB MCCARTNEY. JULIE: I’M JULIE CORNELL. PUBLIC HEALTH SOLUTIONS SAYS THE 90-YEAR-OLD WOMAN HAD UNDERLYING HEALTH CONDITIONS. SHE LIVED AT AN ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY. HEALTH OFFICIALS THERE ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHO SHE MAY HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO. THAT MAKES SIX DEATHS IN NEBRASKA DUE TO THE VIRUS. THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT CONFIRMS THERE ARE NOW 255 CASES TOTAL. 119 IN DOUGLAS COUNTY, 24 IN SARPY, 13 IN LINCOLN AND LANCASTER, AND IN WASHINGTON COUNTY, 19 ROB: IN HARDEST-HIT DOUGLAS COUNTY, OF THE 13 NEW CASES ANNOUNCED TODAY, TWO ARE COMMUNITY SPREAD, ONE IS CONSIDERED TRAVEL-RELATED, SEVEN ARE DIRECT CONTACT, AND THREE REMAIN UNDER INVESTIGATION. Public Health Solutions reports 6th confirmed COVID-19 death in Nebraska

A sixth person in Nebraska has died from COVID-19.According to Public Health Solutions, a woman in her 90s who was a resident at an assisted living facility in Gage County, died from COVID-19. The health department said she had underlying health conditions.She was hospitalized and died on Tuesday, according to PHS. The health department confirmed she died from COVID-19 0n Wednesday. According to PHS, the assisted living facility began taking steps to protect residents and staff on March 9. Outside visitors have been restricted from the facility.The health department is working with the facility to determine who may have been in contact with the woman.Those who had exposure to the patient will be asked to self-quarantine and will be monitored.

GAGE COUNTY, Neb. —

A sixth person in Nebraska has died from COVID-19.

According to Public Health Solutions, a woman in her 90s who was a resident at an assisted living facility in Gage County, died from COVID-19.

The health department said she had underlying health conditions.
