HEALTH DEPARTMENT OFFICIALS SAY THE SIX-YEAR-OLD GIRL WHO ATTENDS DEL PRADO ELEMENTARY WAS ASYMPTOMATIC AND WAS LAST ON CAMPUS FRIDAY MARCH 13TH. NOW THE SCHOOL DISTRICT WAS NOTIFIED LATE YESTERDAY. A student at Del Prado Elementary School in Boca Raton has tested positive for COVID-19, school officials said Thursday.According to a notice sent to school parents and staff, they said the school district was notified Wednesday, but was not given sufficient information to inform parents and staff until Thursday morning.According to the Department of Health, the student was asymptomatic when tested and remains asymptomatic. The school said the child was last on campus on Friday, March 13 and was tested on March 17. The school is cautioning that students and staff should monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19.
