Hey everyone, I’m 22 and noticed something strange going on over the last few months. The head of my penis—specifically the ridge around the glans (I believe it's called the corona)—used to be symmetrical and smooth. Recently though, the shape seems off. It looks somewhat uneven, with certain areas appearing slightly swollen or raised, almost like small bumps or jagged edges.
There’s no pain or itching, no discharge, and no signs of STD symptoms, but the change in appearance is making me pretty anxious. I haven't been able to see a urologist yet due to long wait times in my area.
Could this be a normal anatomical change that comes with age? Or maybe something like irritation, mild inflammation, or early signs of a condition like lichen planus or pearly penile papules? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your support!
— Male, 22, no known medical conditions, sexually active but always use protection
